A team member for one of my CASA kids is visiting them this week. The team member sent me pictures of the child, knowing how long it had been since I had seen this child. They are also bringing me back a picture the child drew for me. I took some of the pictures, cropped them, and made them just look better, then printed them out. I stuck them in a photo book I am sending the sibling, since they are not together. It is good all 'round. I felt good being able to see the child; being able to know someone else was out there who cared as much as I did about this child; and being able to share the photos with the sibling is all too cool!
It was a peanut butter fork pressed kookie for me!
Rene gets lots of Karma Kookies as she is so thoughtful of other people. She does a lot of things like this and deserves even more.
ReplyDeleteI know the other side. I am not nearly so thoughtful and tend to neglect saying complimentary things or do things I could to help others. Too self-centered I guess. Anyway, I seem to have a lot of negative financial stuff as well as a general air of negativity which shoos off much good and people that I know would be there for me if I would just remember to get out of myself. I do believe in karma. I have seen it work in so many others it would be hard to deny it.Thanks Rene for being you.
